Ribbon cutting for completing 200 houses for poor people

The ceremony was attended by important leaders of Binh Dinh province, Chairman and Deputy of the Management Board of Vietinbank, CEO of Hoa Sen group and several leaders of concerned sectors.

In the renovation process, Binh Dinh has gained a lot of important social and economical achievements. The locality has eliminated temporary houses for poor households, ensuring social welfare so that local people can have stable houses to live in and concentrate on working to earn a living and improve income. In addition to the state budget, the local government has encouraged organizations and individuals to support poor people to build houses. In response to the PPC. Vietinbank has commited to constructing 200 houses for poor households with total value of VND 10 billion. Until October 2016, 200 houses were completed, which made people very happy and grateful to Vietinbank support.

At the ceremony, Mr Nguyen Van Thang, Chairman of Vietinbank Management Board expressed deep sympathy to the terrible difficulties and loss which the people in the area have exprerienced during the recent floods. He emphasized that the bank always gave priority to social welfare and the bank would continue its activities in the upcoming time. On this occasion, Vietinbank funded VND 15 billion to help people in the flooded area rebuild their houses.

Hoa Sen group has formed its business philosophy "bring happiness to the community". At the ceremony, Mr. Tran Ngoc Chu - Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and the CEO of Hoa Sen group committed to extracting approximately 2% of profit after tax of the projects in Binh Dinh to fund social welfare activities in the locality. In order to share difficulties and loss of Binh Dinh people who have been affected by the recent floods, Hoa Sen group donated 600 millions to help people recover from the damages and granted VND 1.4 billion to support the social welfare activities of 2016. At the same time, the PPC and Hoa Sen group signed a memorandum of understanding to support social welfare programs in Binh Dinh for the period 2016-2020.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Chairman Ho Quoc Dung conveyed great thanks to the immense contributions and extremely meaningful action of Vietinbank and Hoa Sen group at the right time when local people were in need of help. He specially asserted how important it was for the locality to have the investors’ support in the process of socio-economic development.

Also at the ceremony, VietinBank and Hoa Sen group signed a memorandum of understanding to finance the Hoa Sen Tower project at Ngo May 01, Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province.
