Construction of Dong Da seaport approved

Binh Dinh People’s Committee has issued a letter approving for Phuc Loc Group to carry out the construction procedures for Dong Da Seaport in the old area of Thi Nai ward, Quy Nhon city.
According to the plan, Dong Da port has 02 piers, total length and width of 309m x 20m, able to handle 10,000 DWT ships. The project expects to use about 4.5 ha. It has design capacity of 1.4 million tons/year, capital of around VND 400 billion and will be constructed in 24 months.
The project ‘Expansion planning of Dong Da seaport, Quy Nhon city’ is one of the projects approved by the Prime Minister in the transport development plan for central key economic zone until 2020 and orientation to 2030. The project site layout has been approved by the PPC. The project will use land and water surface of old Dong Da port and contribute to satisfying increasing demand of commodity handling in line with Binh Dinh’ plan of transport development growth until 2020.
