Estimatedly,each year our country consumes about 20 billion bricks and by 2020, the numberof bricks needed for construction of the whole country will be over 40 billion bricks/year. To meet the demand, using burned soil will take away a lot of arableland and cause bad impact on food security. A large amount of fossil coal and firewoodused to burn bricks leads to deforestation and consequently causes ecologicalimbalance, affects livestock environment and human health in the long term.Therefore, the Decision No.567/2010/QĐ-TTg approving the development ofunburned construction material until 2020 has been issued by the Prime Ministerto accelerate investment in the industry.

Earlycapturing the growing needs of the market as well as the government’s preferential policies on unburnedmaterial industry, Binh Dinh Tunnel Brick Joint Stock Company has invested in a project of unburned, lightweight concrete andsynthetic mineral polymer brick plant with an annual capacity of around 40,000m3 of lightweight concrete. On08/4/2013, an investment certificate was granted for this project. The plant is going to be built in Phu My 2 village,Phuoc Loc commune, Tuy Phuoc district on an area of 1.6 hectares. It has aninvested capital of VND 42 billion and is expected to go into operation in thefirst quarter of 2014.
