On 7/8/2009, at the Office of Department of Planning and Investment (DPI), Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam, Deputy Director of DPI, Manager of JICA’s Project Management Board of Binh Dinh Province had a meeting with the Consulting delegation of JICA SPL-V speciality credit program, led by Mr. Yuichi Fukasaka, Chief Consultant. Also joining the meeting was Director of Project Management Board of JICA SPL-V program.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed on the implementation of the projects that have deployed quickly, thus bringing the workload up to 80%. The Project Management Board of JICA SPL-V program also suggested Mr. Yuichi Fukasaka should offer advices to the central Project Management Board of JICA SPL-V program on funding additional capital for 02 projects: Upgrading and repairing Suoi So Lake; Upgrading and repairing Tam Son Reservoir, with the total capital of VND10 billion in order to extend the irrigation canal system and to concrete roads serving for agricultural production in water limited areas.

The JICA SPL-V speciality credit program (Japan) finances Binh Dinh 4 projects: Upgrading Van An - Phu Thu Road (Phu My district); Phong Phu water supply system (Tay Son district); Upgrading and repairing Suoi So Lake (Phu My District); Upgrading and repairing Tam Son Reservoir (Phu Cat).
