The Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh city visits Binh Dinh to bid farewell at the end of his term of office

On the afternoon of September 25, 2024, at the Provincial People's Committee Office, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang had a meeting with Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi - Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of his visit to Binh Dinh at the end of his term of office. The reception was attended by the representatives of the Departments of Industry and Trade, Foreign Affairs, Tourism, Planning and Investment, Culture and Sports.

Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi sincerely thanked Binh Dinh province’s leadership for the great cooperation with the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City over the past years; this has contributed to his successful term in Vietnam. He emphasized that in the first two years of his tenure, the Covid-19 pandemic had adverse impacts on the general situation of the whole world; however, in the past two years, as Consul General, he has strengthened connections, promoted trade, investment and tourism relations between Viet Nam and India. In particular, he was very pleased to have contributed to the success of the Conference on promoting investment, trade and tourism development with Indian partners in Binh Dinh held on June 25, 2024, contributing to connecting trade and opening up new prospects for cooperation between the two countries in general and between India and Binh Dinh in particular.


On behalf of the leaders of Binh Dinh province, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang congratulated Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi on his successful completion of his term as Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City. The provincial leader thanked him for the active and effective support that the Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City has given to Binh Dinh in the past years. India has many strengths in the fields of health, education, and information technology, which are the fields that Binh Dinh wishes to develop and is increasingly calling for investment.


Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi thanked the provincial leadership for their constant partnership and support during his recent term; also, he pledged that no matter what position he holds, he will continue to connect partners and investors interested in Binh Dinh province in the coming time./.
