The seminar in Germany

The seminar was attended by Mr. Urs Unkauf - Director of the German Association for Economic Development and Global Trade and delegates from German corporations and enterprises operating in clean energy, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, logistics, processing and manufacturing industries, etc.

At the seminar, representatives of Becamex IDC Corporation and members of the provincial delegation informed delegates, enterprises and corporations of the Federal Republic of Germany of the potential and advantages of the province, of the policies to attract investment in the economic zone and industrial parks, especially the province's preferential policies for investors when investing in Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park.

Mr. Urs Unkauf - Director of the Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade (BWA) delivered a speech welcoming the provincial delegation to the conference; and introduced German enterprises and corporations of the Association. He expressed his impression of Binh Dinh's development, the hospitality, warm welcome, and sincere discussions of the provincial leaders for German business delegations during their visit to the province and Becamex Company in 2023, opening up opportunities for cooperation and investment in numerous fields in the following years. He affirmed that Binh Dinh would  become a new production center, a suitable destination for German businesses.

Speaking at the Workshop, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang briefed on the province's development orientation; investment and trade relations between the province and the Federal Republic of Germany, and stated that Binh Dinh was currently focusing on improving infrastructure, developing industrial parks and clusters, promoting administrative procedure reform, enhancing the quality of human resources, calling for investment in areas where the province had great development potential and was also the strength of German enterprises such as: energy, manufacture of mechanical equipment, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, semiconductor technology, new materials technology, biotechnology, logistics, etc.

German enterprises and corporations attending the seminar shared information with members of the Binh Dinh delegation about projects that German enterprises had successfully invested in Binh Dinh, areas where the province attracted investment, tax policies, advantages of Binh Dinh compared to other localities in the region, support for startups, etc.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Kim Toan affirmed that with the advantage of being located in an important strategic position in regional connectivity and international exchange, stretching over 134km of coastline, abundant labor force, and constantly improving investment and business environment quality... Binh Dinh always believes that in the coming time, it will be an "ideal destination" for investors; many German enterprises and investors will come to Binh Dinh to survey, learn more about the investment and business environment, and develop specific projects and plants in the province.

Mr Ambassador Vu Quang Minh was pleased to welcome the delegation of Binh Dinh province to pay a visit to the Federal Republic of Germany and visit the Embassy. At the meeting, the Ambassador discussed with the delegation the results of cooperation between Viet Nam and the Federal Republic of Germany in recent times. Accordingly, the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany has actively promoted economic diplomacy between the two countries; also, the Embassy regularly supports and connects localities in cooperation activities with German partners.

According to the Ambassador, the mission in Germany of Binh Dinh province this time is very meaningful in the context of the good development of Viet Nam - Germany relation, German enterprises are very interested in Vietnam. Mr Ambassador Vu Quang Minh greatly appreciated the potential, development advantages, and determination of the leaders of Binh Dinh province; therefore, the province had great conditions to become a gateway for foreign investors to penetrate the market of ASEAN countries. Besides, he asserted that German enterprises appreciated the careful preparation of Binh Dinh province, which produced the great success of the Investment and Trade Promotion Seminar with enterprises and corporations of the Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade. In the coming time, the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany would continue to coordinate and actively support Binh Dinh in attracting German investors and enterprises.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Kim Toan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, expressed his pleasure to visit the Embassy. He sincerely thanked Ambassador Vu Quang Minh and the Embassy staff for taking the time to work with the delegation. On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Le Kim Toan informed the Ambassador about the socio-economic development situation of the province in recent time, especially the attraction of foreign investment in Binh Dinh, the areas of interest and priority for investment attraction of the province. He reported to the Ambassador about the delegation's work program in Germany, especially the successful organization of the Investment and Trade Promotion Seminar with enterprises and corporations of the German Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade.

Binh Dinh province wishes to promote cooperative relations with German partners. Therefore, the province requested that the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany and Ambassador Vu Quang Minh personally continue to support and help Binh Dinh connect, seek opportunities to attract investment, promote trade with German partners, especially invite German enterprises to invest in Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park.

Mr Le Kim Toan expressed wishes to the Ambassador and believed that Mr Ambassador would have a successful term, making various contributions to the Viet Nam - Germany Strategic Partnership and the relationship between German partners and Binh Dinh province.

At the meeting, Mr. Philip Pollmanns, the Business Development Director of The Drivery GmbH, revealed that The Drivery GmbH is a unit specializing in providing transportation services, organizing events, renting workspaces, participating in investing in projects and creative and start-up activities. The company is currently providing unique co-working spaces for businesses in the center of Berlin. The company has an ecosystem and relationships with more than 1,000 startups as well as large enterprises worldwide. The company has supported businesses and organizations to find investors and potential partners to create great added value and stable production for businesses; furthermore, it supports startups to adapt to market needs, promoting innovation and creativity.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang expressed his impression of the scale and operations of The Drivery GmbH Company. He informed about the development orientation of the province and emphasized that Binh Dinh is currently investing in developing the Quy Hoa Science Urban Area and the Artificial Intelligence Center - Auxiliary Urban Area in Quy Nhon City, in which the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE) - has become a common home for Vietnamese and international science; and has attracted large enterprises to invest such as FPT Group and TMA Company. The model of creating a creative startup space of The Drivery GbmH Company is in line with the orientation of Binh Dinh province. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hoped that in the coming time, The Drivery GbmH Company will be a bridge to promote visits of German enterprises, creative investors, startups and the Company's partners to Binh Dinh province. He invited the Company's leaders to visit Binh Dinh soon, in order to survey and carry out specific projects.

On the next working day, the delegation visits and works with companies specializing in high technology, green technology, biotechnology... at Adlershof Science and Technology Park. In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation also worked with enterprises W2E Sector Asia Access Holding AG, Viet Tech Hub Europe Association - TrackCO2 Eco Cockpit Project... to discuss potential opportunities and cooperation.
