Discussion at the workshop

The workshop was part of a series of events in the investment promotion consulting program in Binh Dinh. It was attended by Mr. Nguyen Ba Hai, Deputy Director of the Center for Investment Promotion and Development of Industry and Trade, Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade); Mr. Sungwook Cha, Head of Korea Desk, Deputy General Director of KOTRA Hanoi Office. On the side of Binh Dinh province were Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment; Mr. Vo Mai Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade and representatives of a number of concerned departments and investors of industrial park and industrial cluster infrastructure in the province.

At the workshop, Mr. Sungwook Cha - Head of the Korea Desk Board and representative of the Center for Investment Promotion and Development of Industry and Trade, Department of Trade Promotion, provided information on connection consulting and investment promotion activities; shared and discussed a lot of practical information such as: experience in organizing investment promotion on information sharing and investment opportunities for Korean businesses; approach to attract Korean potential investors; trade and investment promotion events periodically organized by KOTRA; Providing macro data, statistics, trends and recommendations for localities, industrial park and industrial cluster infrastructure investors in Binh Dinh province...

KOREA DESK Board was established in line with the Memorandum of Understanding between the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE) and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA). The aim is to create favorable conditions for attracting investment in the industrial and commercial sectors of localities in Vietnam and especially attracting investment from Korea. KOREA DESK experts will conduct investment promotion training for officials, representatives of industrial parks and local businesses, survey and directly advise local authorities on investment promotion. investment, and other support such as developing promotional material and planning investment promotion with foreign markets including Korea.

The conference was a great opportunity for the province to introduce its potential and strengths to Korean businesses; connect, share information, and advise state management agencies and businesses to support investment promotion, guide the development of promotional material, plan foreign investment promotion and create favorable conditions for attracting investment in the industrial and trade sectors of Binh Dinh province and especially attracting investment from Korea.
