Binh Dinh Provincial leaders meet with the Japanese House of Representatives’ delegation

On the morning of May 6, at the Provincial People's Committee Office, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee had a meeting with Mr. Sasaki Hajime - Member of the House of Representatives, Chairman of Committee on Transport, Land, Infrastructure and Tourism and Mr. Nishino Daisuke - Member of the House of Representatives, Head of the supporting team of the Budget Department of the Ministry of Finance of Japan. The meeting was attended by the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh and leaders of relevant departments

At the reception, Mr Ho Quoc Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council expressed his joy to welcome the Japanese House of Representatives’ members. Previously the Parliamentarians met with Mr Ho Quoc Dung and Binh Dinh delegation during an investment promotion trip to Japan in April 2024.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee presented an overview of Binh Dinh, the results of the cooperation process between Binh Dinh and some Japanese localities such as Izumisano city in Osaka province, Yoshino town in Nara prefecture. He also revealed that Binh Dinh province has attracted 19 projects from Japanese investors, with a total value of 100 million USD. During a recent visit to Japan, leaders of Binh Dinh province and Nagano prefecture agreed to take further steps in building relationship between two provinces so that the cooperation between Binh Dinh and Japanese provinces could be strengthened.

The leaders of Binh Dinh province hope that the Japanese House of Representatives Delegation will pay attention and support the promotion and enhancing the partnership between Binh Dinh and existing Japanese localities and partners; and expand cooperation with localities and potential Japanese partners, especially supporting the establishment of cooperative relations between Binh Dinh province, Osaka prefecture and Nagano prefecture; Quy Nhon city and Ashikaga, in Tochigi Prefecture. Furthermore, support needs to be provided for connecting Japanese businesses to survey and invest in Binh Dinh and promoting Binh Dinh's potential and products to the Japanese market.

Mr. Sasaki Hajime - Member of the House of Representatives, Chairman of the Committee on Transport, Land, Infrastructure and Tourism of the Japanese National Assembly thanked the warm and sincere welcome of the leaders and concerned departments of Binh Dinh province. This was the first time he visited Binh Dinh province, but he was very impressed by the beauty of his home province, especially the coastal city of Quy Nhon.

He pledged that after this visit to Binh Dinh, the delegation would actively promote the information of Binh Dinh province in Japan and encourage Japanese businesses to seek investment opportunities in Binh Dinh. The Japanese House of Representatives Delegation appreciated Binh Dinh province’s effort in expanding and establishing cooperative relations with Japanese localities, contributing to implementing two nations’ policies, raising the relationship of two sides to become a comprehensive strategic partnership.
