The conference was attended by Mr. Alderman Nick Palumbo - Vice Chairman of Savannah city’s council, Mr. Antwont Smoak - Director of Program and Community Development - WTC Savannah, and delegates from US corporations and businesses operating in the fields of: high technology, manufacturing, finance, real estate development, industrial and civil, trade, services, logistics, seaports, transportation and infrastructure, international trade, information and communication, entertainment, food and beverage production, education, health.

At the conference, representatives of Becamex IDC Corporation and members of the province's delegation informed delegates and US businesses of the province's potential and advantages; Introducing policy mechanisms to support investment attraction in the Economic Zone and industrial parks, especially the province's preferential policies for investors when investing in Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park.

Speaking at the Workshop, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang said that Binh Dinh is currently promoting training of human resources according to the province's development orientation, especially in information technology, technology, tourism, high-tech industry; implementing policies to attract high-quality labor to meet the needs of the economy. 

In particular, the province is focusing on strongly developing seaport - logistics services, in order to exploit the full potential and advantages of the province's marine economy; improve competitiveness, attract investment, promote seaport - logistics services to in order to bring high added value associated with the development of goods production, import-export and trade of the province. It is calculated that Binh Dinh's two-way trade turnover with the United States is estimated to reach 468.12 million USD in the first 10 months of 2023, of which the main export items account for a high proportion such as garment products, wood products and the main imported items include animal feed and raw materials, wood and wood products.

Delegates attending the conference had discussions with members of Binh Dinh’s delegation about the fields of investment attraction, tax policies, and advantages of Binh Dinh compared to other localities in the area.

Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Kim Toan affirmed that the locality had an important strategic position in regional linkages and international exchanges, and is bestowed with many valuable resources, a coastline stretching of 134km, synchronous socio-economic infrastructure, abundant labor force....
