Binh Dinh rises to the High Group in PCI Rankings 2021

This morning, April 27, 2022, the Announcement Ceremony of Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) 2021 held by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) took place in Hanoi with the participation of representatives of the central government leaders and the local leaders. Mr. Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Director of Department of Planning and Investment and the Investment Promotion Center attended the event.

 

The announcement ceremony

This morning, April 27, 2022, the Announcement Ceremony of Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) 2021 organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) took place in Hanoi with the participation of representatives of government leaders and local leaders. Mr. Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, together with Leaders of Department of Planning and Investment, Investment Promotion Center attended this event.

The Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) report 2021 publishes the results of a survey on the opinions of more than 10,000 private enterprises and 1,550 FDI enterprises on the quality of economic management and business environment in 63 provinces and cities in Vietnam.

According to PCI 2021, Binh Dinh increased from 37th position, the Mid-Low Group (in 2020) to 11th, the High Group. This is considered a very positive result, showing the efforts in improving the investment environment of the whole province in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic.

Out of 10 subindices, Binh Dinh’s score increased 7 points compared to 2020, of which the subindices had high score include as Time costs (8.14); the Proactivity (7.62); Informal charges (7.42); Law and order (7.35); Business support services (7,13); Policy Bias (6.41).
