On November 15, 2021, the Provincial People's Committee approved the investment policy and the investor of the Binh Dinh MDF, HDF and OKAL wooden board factory project for Kim Thanh Forestry Joint Stock Company.
A wooden board factory
The factory is going to be built in Giao Hoi 1 quarter,
Hoai Tan ward, Hoai Nhon town on an area of aproximately 45 hectares. The
investment objectives of the project are to build a new wood processing factory
in order to exploit the strengths and advantages of the locality, to reduce
production costs, to increase the connection of the MDF, HDF, OKAL board
production system in the region and to contribute to the social and economic
development in the province.
The total investment capital is around VND 4,371 billion;
of which the capacity of phase 1 includes: 180,000 m3 of OKAL board/year; 425,250
m3 of wood board products/year (of which: MDF board is 232,500 m3/year; HDF board
is 192,750 m3/year).
The MDF, HDF and OKAL Board Factory Project has a large
scale, so when it comes into operation, it is expected contribute a significant value
of industrial production and export turnover; create jobs and generate income
for people in Hoai Nhon town. In addition, the connection of MDF, HDF, OKAL
board production system in the region will be increased; the budget revenue
will be raised and that will positively benefit the socio-economic development
in the province.
