The delegation of Izumisano city from Japan visited Binh Dinh

On the morning of 13th February 2020, at the Office of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Chau had a meeting with the delegation of Izumisano City of Osaka Prefecture (Japan) led by Mr. Matsushita Yoshihiko - Deputy Mayor of the city. The meeting was attended by leaders and representatives of concerned departments.

At the meeting, the PPC Vice Chairman Tran Chau briefed the delegation on the socio-economic situation, socio-economic development orientation as well as the province's investment attraction policies. Vice Chairman Tran Chau also informed about the foreign investment attraction in general and investment from Japan in particular in Binh Dinh province. Accordingly, currently in the province there are 18 projects invested by Japanese enterprises with total capital of over 92 million USD; Binh Dinh and Japan have been implementing cooperative activities in fishery and high-tech agriculture, education, labor training, investment promotion, etc.
Mr Matsushita Yoshihiko said that Izumisano city belongs to Kansai region. The area has an international airport, a modern highway system, a highway and a railway system. In 2017, Izumisano issued an "international city" statement to promote cooperation with many countries around the world. Until now, Izumisano has established partnership and cooperative relations with eight cities around the world. In October 2019, the leaders of Izumisano city and Binh Dinh province signed an agreement to establish a comprehensive friendship and cooperation relation, opening up many development opportunities for two localities.
The delegation of Izumisano city made the visit to Binh Dinh this time with the expectation of sharing plans to promote exchanges and friendly cooperation between the two sides in the coming time and to send Izumisano city’s officers to work in Binh Dinh to promote the implementation of cooperation programs from April 2020; and also the officers would collaborate with Binh Dinh province in organizing the exchange program for junior high school students in Binh Dinh, which was scheduled to be held in July 2020.

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman Tran Chau appreciated and thanked Izumisano city leaders for the great support to Binh Dinh province. He promised to create the best conditions for Mr. Akasaka (an officer sent to Binh Dinh by the Izumisano government) to work in Binh Dinh. The province hopes that the cooperation and friendship between the two sides will develop sustainably and hope that the Izumisano city government will continue to support and act as a bridge to introduce Japanese businesses to Binh Dinh province to seek investment opportunities here. The province governmenrt pledged to closely work alongside Japanese businesses when they invest in Binh Dinh.
