A delegation from Saxony Anhalt state, Germany explores investment opportunities in the province

In the morning of November 23, 2019, a delegation of Saxony Anhalt state, Germany led by Professor Dr. Armin Willingmann - Minister of Economics, Science and Digital Society of the State had a meeting with the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) Chairman Ho Quoc Dung, the Vice Chairman Tran Chau and representatives of concerned departments.

At the meeting, Chairman Ho Quoc Dung welcomed the delegation of Saxony Anhalt, Head of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam and German businesses came to explore opportunities for cooperation and investment promotion in the province. Chairman Ho Quoc Dung presented an overview of the socio-economic situation, incentive policies for investment of Binh Dinh province.

Accordingly, there are 80 foreign direct investment project with total registered capital of USD 709.31 million, of which three projects are of German investors with capital of USD 15.09 million; In the meantime, Germany has provided Binh Dinh with 3 ODA projects, with a total capital of USD 13.739 million USD. The Chairman of the provincial People's Committee expressed his desire that Mr. Armin Willingmann will act as an important bridge to introduce the potentials and strengths of Binh Dinh to enterprises of Saxony Anhalt state in particular and Germany in general. With an open investment and business environment, Binh Dinh is committed to creating the most favorable conditions for German businesses.

At the meeting, Mr. Armin Willingmann asserted said that the relationship between Vietnam and Saxony Anhaltt state in Germany has been strengthened, especially in economy, education and training sectors as well as in cultural exchange. It is revealed that Saxony Anhaltt has a population of 2.1 million people. The state possesses modern and convenient infrastructure with key industries: organic food production, energy, waste treatment, water supply... There are 5 buildings recognized as world heritage in the area.

Mr. Armin Willingmann appreciated advantages of attracting investment of Binh Dinh and affirmed that the delegation came to Binh Dinh with the aim of understanding the business environment in the province, especially learning about the Innovation Park in Quy Nhon and high-tech human resource to find out cooperation opportunities in human resources training in Germany. He pledged to promote cooperation and investment activities among German businesses in the upcoming time.
