On the morning of October 25, 2019, Quy Nhon University organizes the reception of 20 Laos’ students from 4 provinces of Attapu, Champasak, Sekong and Salavan to learn Vietnamese in the academic year 2019-2020. The students were enrolled under the scholarship program of development cooperation between Binh Dinh province and the southern provinces of Laos.

At the meeting, Doctor Do Ngoc My - Rector of Quy Nhon University presided over the reception of Lao students from the leaders of the Departments of Education and Training of four southern provinces of Laos. He asserted that the university was very interested in the training of Laotian students and considers it an important responsibility in strengthening the partnership of Vietnam-Laos in general and between Binh Dinh province and Laos in particular and to make it more and more sustainable and fruitful.
At the meeting, the Rector and leaders of concerned departments of the university provided information related to the training programmes for Laotian students, advantages and difficulties and recommendations on some solutions to create better outcomes for the training programmes in the future. The university leadership was committed to providing the best environment for Laos students to study, to live and to experience local culture in the future.
On behalf of the delegations, Mr. Khamphai Sunivan, Deputy Director of Sekong Department of Sports Education expressed his gratitude to the University leaders and appreciated the efforts and contributions of the university in enhancing the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, especially in training human resources for the southern provinces of Laos.
Quy Nhon University receives international students from the southern provinces of Laos for Vietnamese language training in the academic year 2019 – 2020 to enable students get fluent in listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, and to meet the most common requirements for Vietnamese language communication and practice. The programme lasts for 10 months, after that the students will start the university or post-graduate academic training programme.
