Binh Dinh opens wood furniture exhibition booth in High Point, USA

Within the framework of the International Indoor and Outdoor Furniture Fair in High Point, the United States (one of the world's largest wood furniture fairs for shoppers globally). On the morning of October 19, 2019, Binh Dinh Forest Products Association held a ribbon cutting ceremony to open the joint booth "Binh Dinh Furniture, Vietnam 2019".

The ceremony of the opening booth "Binh Dinh Furniture, Vietnam 2019" was attended by Mr. Bui Huy Son, the Commercial Counselor of Vietnam Embassy in the United States; Mr. Phan Cao Thang, the Standing Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Tran Anh Tuyet, Deputy Director of Binh Dinh Department of Industry and Trade; Mr. Nguyen Bay, Director of Binh Dinh Investment Promotion Centre and several provincial wood furniture manufacturers and agencies from Binh Dinh province.

High Point Market Fair in the United States is the largest and most well-known fair in the international furniture and exterior and interior decoration industry. This year, Binh Dinh province’s booth covers an exhibition area of more than 200m2 at a beautiful location in the overall layout of the fair with modern design suitable for the US market.

Attending the fair gives Binh Dinh opportunities to promote and introduce wooden and forest products, it is also a great opportunity for the provincial wood furniture manufacturers to directly connect and exchange information with importers and distributors in North Carolina - United States, search for potential customers, sign contracts and orders for the following season.

In Binh Dinh, wood and forest product processing industry accounts for a large proportion in export turnover. According to Binh Dinh Forest Products Association (FPA Binh Dinh), in 2018, the export turnover of wood and forest products reached USD 423 million, making up approximately 53% of the total export value of the province, an increase of 6.2% compared to 2017. In 2019, Binh Dinh timber and forest product processing enterprises set an export target of USD 430 - 440 million, up 4 - 6% compared to 2018.

Currently, outdoor and indoor wooden products of Binh Dinh are exported to 83 markets in countries in Europe, the United States, Australia ... Wood pallets, woodchips and plywood of all kinds are exported to China, South Korea, other Asian countries. The export of wooden furniture is estimated to reach USD 280 million in 2019, accounting for 32.2% of the total export turnover of the province.
