A new solar power farm constructed in Binh Dinh

On October 29th 2018, TPP Binh Dinh Energy Joint Stock Company (a member of Truong Thanh Vietnam Investment and Development group) held a ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a solar power farm at Hoi Van village, Cat Hiep commune, Phu Cat district. The ceremony was attended by the leaders of the province: Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC), leaders of concerned departments, Phu Cat district and the Investment Promotion Center.

Cat Hiep Solar Power farm project in Phu Cat district has a total area of 62 ha, designed capacity of 49.41 MW and total investment of VND 1,139.6 billion invested by Binh Dinh Energy and Hi-Tech Joint Stock Company in collaboration with Quandran International (subsidiary of Lucia Holding, France) specializing in producing renewable energy. The contractor of designing, construction and installation contractor for the project is Juwi Renewable Energy Company from Germany, which has a lot of experience in design and construction of solar projects in different countries around the world such as Japan, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines.

The project has been approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and added to the Power Development Plan of Binh Dinh province in the period of 2016 - 2025 with consideration to 2035 in Decision No.4321/QĐ-UBND dated 16/11/2017, and approved by Binh Dinh People's Committee at the investment approval on 01/12/2017.

According to the investor’s registration documents, Cat Hiep Solar Power Plant will be put into operation by September 2019, contributing to the additional power generation capacity for the locality and meeting the increasing demand of electricity.
