The meeting at the Office of Provincial People's Committee

At the reception, Secretary General of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Tung presented a brief overview of the socio-economic situation of Binh Dinh Province and partnership of the locality and Japanese organizations and regions. He asserted that the local government paid special attention to Japanese enterprises and created the most favorable conditions for the enterprises who come to survey for investment opportunities and who were running business in the area, such as Kato Group, Toshiba Corporation, Sparx Group, Kumagaigumi Group, Hyogo Hospital Corporation, Sanicon Co., Ltd. Fujiwara, Marubeni Lumber Vietnam Co., Ltd., to name a few... Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung asked Mr. Umeda Kunio to kindly encourage Japanese businesses to increase their investment in Binh Dinh. He affirmed that the Provincial leaders always appreciated the comprehensive cooperation with Japan and looked forward to further expanding relationship in many fields with Japan.

 

Ambassador Umeda Kunio thanked the provincial leaders for their great reception and said that he was deeply impressed with Binh Dinh’s landscape, people and culture. At the meeting with Japanese businesses who are investing in Binh Dinh, the enterprises said that the province had given the best support for investors during the investment process. The Ambassador trusted the support of the provincial leaders and related departments and believed that in the upcoming time, Japanese enterprises’ cooperation, investment and trade will significantly Binh Dinh. Mr. Umeda Kunio promised to make all his efforts to introduce potentials, advantages, mechanisms and incentive policies to attract investment of Binh Dinh to the businesses in Japan.

At present, Binh Dinh province has 13 projects of Japanese enterprises with total capital of more than USD 101 million. The most recent project license was granted for Kato Hitoshi General Office Co.,Ltd for its consultancy and wholesale services early 2018.
