A leading shrimp company in Vietnam launches a ceremony to release shrimps in Binh Dinh

On March 10th, in My Thanh commune, Phu My district, Viet Uc Seafood Corporation held a ceremony to release juvenile shrimps into farms, part of the intensive high-tech shrimp farming program in the greenhouse and under the project "Producing and trading high-quality white leg shrimp" in the planned high-tech agriculture area in Binh Dinh province.

The event was attended by the Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Ho Quoc Dung and the Vice Chairman Tran Chau.

Mr Luong Thanh Van, President of the Management Board and CEO of Viet Uc Seafood Corporation said that the construction of a high-quality shrimp farming greenhouse complex in My Thanh commune was to realize aspiration "Raise Vietnamese shrimp value". With the desire to convert Binh Dinh into a shrimp centre of Central Vietnam, the Corporation has completed and put into trial a greenhouse farm with 14 ponds. After the trial period, the Corporation will build several greenhouse farms with hundreds of ponds and construct a feed processing plant for shrimp in compliance with NOVACQ standard and shrimp processing plant for export. In addition, the Corporation will coordinate with the locality to expand the high-tech shrimp farming model to households and purchase all farmed shrimps from farmers.

To acknowledge the significance of the high-quality shrimp farming project to development of the shrimp industry in Vietnam in general and Binh Dinh in particular, Chairman Ho Dung thanked Viet Uc Corporation for choosing Binh Dinh a key destination to invest their project and hoped the Corporation would complete the complex and fulfill their objectives, supporting Binh Dinh province in expanding the commercial shrimp farming technology in order to raise the production value and enhance sustainable growth of the province's shrimp industry.
