At the meeting, Ambassador Tao Thi Thanh Huong expressed her sincere thanks to the provincial leaders for making time for the meeting and expressed deep impressions of the achievements that Binh Dinh has achieved and of how the locality has become one of the provinces with rapid growth rate nationwide. The Ambassador stated that in the upcoming future, she will go to Singapore to assume the mission of Vietnam Ambassador in Singapore. It is known that Binh Dinh and Singapore have developed a very close relationship, especially some Singapore investors are operating effectively in the province.

The Ambassador revealed that in 2018, Vietnam and Singapore will organize diverse activities commemorating 45 years of Vietnam - Singapore diplomatic relation (1973 - 2018). She wished Binh Dinh Province's leaders will arrange time to attend the activities in Singapore in order to promote the image of Binh Dinh province to the people and entrepreneurs in Singapore. With the role and mission of an ambassador, she affirmed that she will devote her best to enhance the relationship between Vietnam and Singapore in general and Binh Dinh-Singapore in particular, especially in making connections for investment and cooperation which two sides have strength.

Also at the meeting, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman Ho Quoc Dung congratulated Ambassador Tao Thi Thanh Huong for her new position. The Chairman asserted the special relation between Binh Dinh and Singapore over the last few years. Also he made a brief report on the province's achievements in socio-economic development, attraction of foreign investment including investment from Singapore.

Chairman Ho Quoc Dung hoped that when taking Vietnam Ambassador to Singapore, Madam Tao Thi Thanh Huong would assist Binh Dinh in making contact with people and businesses in Singapore; he strongly believed that the ambassador will facilitate the flow of investment capital from Singapore to Binh Dinh in the coming time.

Prior to the meeting, representatives from the Department of Planning and Investment, the Economic Zone Administration and the Investment Promotion Center had taken the ambassador to a number of prominent investment locations in the province.
