Very recently, The Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Deputy Chairman Phan Cao Thang had a meeting with Mr Pham Van Hai, representative of Veka group (Holland), who visited Binh Dinh to investigate opportunities for sea port and ship building investment in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone.

At the meeting, Mr Pham Van Hai stated that he had visited Quang Ninh, Quang Ngai, Kien Giang… When coming to Binh Dinh, he recognized great advantages for ship building development in the locality; therefore, he expressed great desire to receive support for construction of a ship building plant of European standard which is specialized in building superyachts, cargo vessels, liquefied natural gas carriers, dredgers, offshore steel fishing ships… in Binh Dinh.
In addition, Veka group is planning to invest in sea port construction in Nhon Hoi. The group appreciates the tremendous potentials of Binh Dinh province. He emphasized that if Veka constructs a sea port in Nhon Hoi, they will connect and lure eligible investors in the world such as Holland, Germany, Hong Kong…in order to generate a strong association in tourism, industry, airlines as well as sea port services.
Veka group is a large Dutch shipbuilder. It has 5 shipyards in the Netherlands in Holland and 16 others in many countries around the world, namely Germany, Czech, Poland, Romania, China Servia, and Ukraine.
PPC Deputy Chairman Phan Cao Thang appreciated Veka group for choosing Binh Dinh to survey for investment. He specially committed to creating best conditions for the group to make successful investment in Binh Dinh province.
