At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of DPI emphasized the strengths of Binh Dinh such as: being an important link of transportation; being the intersection of two key Highways: National Highway 1 and Highway 19, which is very convenient for transporting commodity and materials to the North, to the South or to the Central Highlands provinces, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand; Quy Nhon International Sea Port is one of Vietnam's largest sea ports, ranks the third in Vietnam with the amount of cargo handled and is able to handle cargo ships of 50,000 DWT. The province has large industrial zones, abundant labor resource for agriculture development and tourism. He said, at present, Binh Dinh is calling for investment in transport, education, health care and tourism and he recommended Areco to consider collaborative research in these areas.

Doctor Do Ngoc My, the Vice Principal of Quy Nhon University briefed on the University overview. He stressed that Quy Nhon  multi-disciplinary university has 16 faculties, providing trainings of 38 different sectors including pedagogy, natural science. More than 24,000 students are studying at the university every year. Currently the university has 572 professors, lecturers and instructors. It is an abundant  and important resource for generating rational changes in university education toward standardization, modernization and international integration.

Mr Joba Isamu, the Honorary President of Areco said that he was very happy and impressed to receive the Japanese introduction booklets of Binh Dinh. He realized that Binh Dinh has a lot of potentials and strengths for growth. He believed that in the near future his organization will start cooperation with Quy Nhon university in the field of education and training, health care and clean agriculture, in particular:  supporting Quy Nhon university in establishing Japanese Faculty, improving the training quality of technical majors, and establishing several laboratory units, developing partnership programmes  3/1 and ½, accordingly, students will study 03 years in Binh Dinh and final year in Japan or 01 year in Binh Dinh and 02 final years in Japan. With regard to health care sector, a general centre for pre-cancerous stage will be built in conjunctions with the training programme of nurses and orderlies. In addition, two sides with discuss technical issues, human resources training in clean agriculture.
