In the afternoon of 08 January 2016, managersand staff of Thi Nai seaport celebrated its one millionth ton of goods in theyear 2015. This is a significant event in the construction and development processof Thi Nai seaport. The celebration was attended by representatives ofVietnam Maritime Administration, leaders of the provincial People’s Committeeand the provincial departments and sectors.

Ms. Dong Thi Anh, President of Management Board and Director of the Thi Nai Seaport Joint Stock Company said that "The company’s success comes from its investment in loading services, diversifying business activities in order to make effective use of existing advantages and resources. The company has also constantly improving quality management, applying advanced technology, actively investigated the market in order to find out socio-economic change inside and outside the country and to produce short term and long term development strategy.”
To meetthe increasing demand of the South Central and Highlands region and generatenecessary facilities for regional and international economic integration, thecompany announced the start of operation of 10,000 DWT jetty, which isconsidered as an important investment for seaport and logistics system developmentin Quy Nhon in the stage 2015 -2020.
At theceremony, Deputy Director of Vietnam Maritime Administration acknowledged and praisedsuccess of Thi Nai port. Binh Dinh provincial leaders wished the companywould continue to increase investment infrastructure and goods handling capacity,which will contribute to socio-economic growth in the locality.
Thi Naiseaport handles 700 ships in 2015, up 27.3% with revenue of VND 49.3 billion,up 15.7% compared with 2014; contributing VND 5.51 billion to the state budget,up 8% compared to the plan; average income of employees was VND 6.5million/month per person, up 18.2% compared to 2014.
Thi Naiport and Quy Nhon port are the gateway to the Eastern Sea of the southernprovinces of Laos, Northeast Cambodia; about 260 km from Duc Co border and about310 km from Bo Y border along along Highway 14 and 19. With this strategiclocation, Thi Nai has many favorable conditions for attracting of domesticgoods in East - West corridor through the port. In 2016, Thi Nai aims to handle1.25 million tons of cargo through the port; achieving total revenue ofVND 60 billion and contributing VND 6.1 billion to the state budget.
