Viet Uc group realises aspiration "Enhancing Vietnamese Shrimps" with a new large-scale project in Binh Dinh

On the morning of 10/09/2015, at Hoa Hoi Nam,My Thanh commune, Phu My district of Binh Dinh province, Viet Uc group organisedthe ground-breaking ceremony of the ‘super-intensive shrimp farm in glasshouses’ project. 

 

Speaking at the openingceremony, Mr. Tony Dang Quoc Tuan, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board cumDeputy CEO of the group happily confirmed that the signing of Trans-Pacific Partnership(TPP) on 10/05/2015 has created enormous advantages for enterprises in Vietnamand this is also a opportunity for Vietnam shrimp industry to bring its productsinto emerging wide markets.

Taking advantages of the success of shrimpfarming project in Bac Lieu province, Viet Uc has carried out a complex ofhigh-quality shrimp farm on 300 ha in Binh Dinh province. The program includes:seed production area, hi-tech super-intensive farming area in glass houses andprocessing plant for export with total capital of over VND 600 billion. In thefirst stage, the group will put into operation more than 100 ha of watersurface for shrimp farm, 3 crops per year with unchanged price of 150,000 VND/kgof 40-45 shrimps per kilogram, productivity of 100-300 tonnes/ha/year. Inthe next stage, the group is expected to expand the production scale and constructa shrimp processing plant for export with closed processing line. The projectplans to use more than 2,000 employees with 80-85% are local people.

Being the leading shrimpseed supplier  in Vietnam with over 15 billionof shrimp seeds, accounting for 22% of the market share in 2014 and with thedesire "Enhancing the Vietnamese Shrimps" in order to raise the Vietnamshrimp industry to reach the world class, Viet Uc group has taken solidinvestment steps science and technology, human resources and branding in theworld market. The group believes that Binh Dinh has favourable conditionsfor expanding achievements gained for the super-intensive shrimp farming in BacLieu province, and to develop the closed production line from seed productionto commercial farming and processing for export.

At the ceremony, Viet Uc group donated VND 100million for My Thang commune to support the lighting construction in ruralarea.
