On 17/9/2015, Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committeeissued approval for Thanh Ly Company Limited to invest in a commercial shrimpfarming project applying high technology in Cat Hai and Cat Thanh communes, PhuCat district, Binh Dinh province.
Previously, on 30/06/2015Binh Dinh Province People's Committee issued Decision No. 2327 /QD-PC approvingthe master plan for fisheries development in Binh Dinh to 2020 with a vision to2030. At the same time, regulations on aquatic seed production area applyinghigh technology and regulations on commercial shrimp farming area applying hightechnology in Binh Dinh was specified in the Decision No. 2355/QD-Committee. Thetarget is that by 2020, Binh Dinh fisheries will become a large goods production industry basing on modernization, comprehensiveand sustainable development with suitable production structure and forms, good productivityand quality, brand reputation, high competitiveness and steady integration intothe regional economy and the world.
The commercialshrimp farming project of Thanh Ly Company Limited.will invest more than VND 284billion, in an area of 48 hectares. 108 shrimp ponds, 24 sedation ponds forwater treatment and 12 ponds for mud treatment will be constructed. Estimatedannual yield will be around 2,700 tons/2 seasons.
As planned, the works willbe implemented for three years. When the project is put into production, thesupply of raw material for seafood processing plants will be ensured to beregular.
