On 11th and12th 2015, at Sealinks Beach Hotel, Phan Thiet City, Binh ThuanProvince People's Committee in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture,Sports and Tourism and the Central Coastal Coordination Committee held anInternational conference "Linking tourism development in the Central Coastregion with the South East region, the Central Highlands, the Southern Laos andnortheast Cambodia".
The conference was attended by leaders ofministries, sectors and localities of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia and 19provinces in the provinces of the central coastal, the Southeast, the Highlandsregions and many investors from Laos and Cambodia. Binh Dinh InvestmentPromotion Centre (IPC) attended the event.
The conference provided opportunity for exchange,direct contact among travel and tourism organizations, investor inside andoutside Vietnam, international organizations and with leaders of ministries, differentsectors and leaders of provinces and cities. It was also a goodopportunity for the provinces to actively introduce tourism potentials,advantages, forms and products; and to invite investors, travel agencies athome and abroad to invest in the Central coastal region, in Vietnam's tourism inorder to boost the cooperation with the southern Laos and northeast Cambodia.
At the conference, the participants discussedmeasures to enhance tourism development links such as upgrading the transportsystem connecting regions, developing plans for tourism product chains of theCentral Coast, Central Highlands, Southeast and Southern Laos and northeastCambodia under mindset of "developing tourism product chain", "multiplesites in one destination ". The localities are encouraged to buildand implement policies of regional tourism development towards sustainable andharmonized tourism space development; identify and invest in nuclear tourismurban area in order to promote the strengths of each region; develop policiesto make it easy for travelers; generate friendly environment for tourists inconsideration of community factors in the areas.
In the framework of the conference, there was aninternational exhibition for the development triangle of Vietnam, Laos,Cambodia with topic "3 nations, one destination". IPC Binh Dinh incollaboration with the Tourism Promotion Centre run an exhibition boothintroducing potentials, advantages and projects callingfor investment.
