Cooperation and promotion for investment, trade and tourism development in Kon Tum 2015

On 2nd April,in Kon Tum city, the Provincial People’s Committee organized a conference of development cooperation amonglocalities of Vietnam, Laos and Thailand and conference of investment, trade and tourism promotion. This ispart of a series of events of operation in investment, trade and tourismdevelopment in Kon Tum 2015.

 

Introducingrepresentatives participating in the Conference of development cooperation among localities ofVietnam, Laos and Thailand

200 participants who arerepresentatives of government and enterprises of the three countries. 6provinces of Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Nong, Dak Lak, Binh Dinh, Quang Ngai and HaNoi city attended the conference. From Laos side, representatives are fromChampasak, Sekong and Attapu provinces. From Thailand, representatives are fromUbon Ratchathani and Sisaket. Binh Dinh Centre of Investment Promotion andDepartment of Planning and Investment was present at the event.

Theconference of development cooperation among localities of Vietnam, Laos andThailand has a special meaning when the ASEAN economic community will be foundedat the end of 2015. It is a forum for localities and enterprises and relevantagencies of the three countries to discuss, exchange opinions and ideas andreach agreement on boosting collaboration in the upcoming future.

Speaking at the conference,representative of Binh Dinh province highlighted strengths and potentials fortourism in the province and made important proposals relating to cooperationamong the regions.

Cooperation was emphasizedas an important factor for boosting the demands and advantages of eachlocality.

Cooperation ininvestment, trade and tourism was also identified as priorities, of whichtourism was a driving area for trade and investment.

In addition, apart from joininggeneral cooperation mechanism, the localities need to understand potentials ofeach other, strengthening bilateral cooperation programs to bring about thebest benefits for each country.
