Japanese newspaper appreciates new potential for Binh Dinh fisheries sector

On 22nd October 2014,Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee led a delegation to visit Hokugancompany in Okiwana province– Japan. It was the sixth day of Binh Dinh visit to Japan inorder to promote investment  for the province from 17/10 – 25/10/2014.

 

Twosides discussed the construction plan of a seafood processing company in BinhDinh province, export market and ways of purchasing tuna.

Atthe meeting, Chairman Le Huu Loc stressed that Binh Dinh would create the bestconditions for Hokugan to invest in Binh Dinh and the project would benefit thebest incentives in line with Vietnamese regulations.

MrTakeichi Uehara – Chairman of Hokugan revealed that Hokugan was planning toproduce products such as canned tuna and would make a visit to Binh Dinh thesecond time in October 2014 in order to investigate the venue and tuna qualityon site. After evaluating the material, the company will determine suitableprocessing methods. The company will start the construction to implementresearch on market and material for about half a year before developing aspecific plan.

Inthe first visit to Binh Dinh of Hokugan company on 30/8/2014, Binh Dinhintroduced 2 venues for the company. In order to give more choice for theinvestor, Binh Dinh is going to introduce another location in Cat Khanh industrialcluster, Phu Cat district.

The plant is expected to increase ocean tuna quality of Vietnam ingeneral and of Binh Dinh in general and export it to Japan.
