TheMinistry of Finance has recently issued an approval for the request to thePrime Minister to support capital for constructing Thi Nai bridge stage 2

Thi Nai bridge stage 1

At the end of 2006, Binh Dinh completed and put into use Thi Nai bridge stage 1.This is the longest sea bridge in Vietnam with length of 2,477.3 m, width of14.5 m and weight of 80 tons. The bridge is in the road-bridge route of 7km connectingQuy Nhon city with Nhon Hoi economic zone.

Constructionof Thi Nai bridge stage 1 aims at creating favourable conditions for theeconomic growth and investment in Nhon Hoi economic zone (EZ), one of theimportant economic zones in the planning development of the Central keyeconomic region until 2030. The bridge benefits not only enterprises in NhonHoi EZ but also local people in Phuong Mai Peninsula and its neighbourhood.

Withthe development of Nhon Hoi EZ and the investment of petrochemical refinerycomplex project in the zone, the existing Nhon Hoi bridge (stage 1) will be nolonger able to meet the increasing demand. Construction of Nhon Hoi bridge(stage 2) beside the current bridge will reduce pressure on Thi Nai bridge 1.It also proves the strong determination and orientation of Binh Dinh province inboosting Nhon Hoi EZ and the petrochemical refinery complex project.
