Lately, the PPC hasissues a decision to establish Hoai Huong industrial cluster covering 11.8ha inThien Duc village, Hoai Huong commune, Hoai Nhon district
Main business lines encouraged for the new cluster are seafoodprocessing, fish sauce, logistics, mechanical processing and production andother consumer product manufacture with minimal pollution risks
Accordingly, Hoai Huong commune is assigned to manage theinvestment and delelopment of Hoai Huong industrial cluster in line with theapproved plan and current regulations on construction and environmentalprotection.
Hoai Huong is one of the four pilot communes for new countrymodel in Binh Dinh province. So far, after three years of implementation, HoaiHuong has achieved 12/19 criteria and is making efforts to meet the criteria by2015.
Hoai Huong is a coastal commune. In addition to fisheries,trade, agriculture and forestry develop quite well. The trade and servicesystem has covered all residential areas, creating good conditions forcirculating goods in the locality.
AT present, Hoai Huong has a the largest boat team catchingoffshore in Hoai Nhon district. The whole commune has 699 fishing boats,capacity of 149,900 CV; most of them are catching offshore. Enriched experiencehas generated increasing capacity for the local fishmen. Traditional occupationssuch as netting, making fishing hooks, making bamboo mats for drying squids… have created jobs and good income forlocal peoples.
There are 06 industrial clusters in Hoai Huong commune witharea of 120ha now. Main business lines include: garment, forest productprocessing, handicraft, seafood processing. Several traditional handicraft areacknowledged by the PPC.
The establishment of Hoai Huong industrial cluster willgenerate a positive driving force for development of various industries, bringingmore jobs and transformation of labour-economic structure in the commune.
