New industrial cluster established in An Nhon provincial town

Recently,the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) issued a decision to establish Tan Duc industrial cluster of31.5ha. Previously, this industrial cluster established in 2006 had size of18.5ha. 

 

Tan Duc industrial cluster islocated in north west of Phu Cat Airport, at Nhon My commune, Tan Nhonprovincial town. Priority fields for investment are fishery-forest products,fishmeal, incense powder, incense, aluminium and copper casting, waste recycling,machinery and consumer goods with minimum harm for the environment.

Accordingly, An Nhon town is assigned to manage theinvestment and development of  Tan Ducindustrial cluster in line with the planning and current regulations onconstruction and environmental protection.

At present, there are 6 industrial clusters in operation inAn Nhon town with more than 100 enterprises, creating jobs for almost 4,000employees and contributing 40% industrial production value in the wholeprovincial town.

Binh Dinh PPC has issued several policies to encourage andsupport investment in the industrial clusters in the locality. Amendment andsupplementation of the planning are made in line with development needs;favourable conditions for districts and towns to accelerate the constructionprogress and lure investment.

According to Decision No. 52/QĐ-UBND dated 19/01/2012 of BinhDinh PC regarding approval of amendment and supplementation of the developmentplanning of industrial clusters in the area until 2020 and orientation toward2025, there will be 62 industrial clusters with an area of 1,921 ha in BinhDinh. Of which, there will be 28 new clusters, area of 790 ha (there were 34clusters on an area of 1,130 ha with the planning in 2006-2010).

In 2013, 38 industrial clusters with complete infrastructurewere in operation. Among 62 planned clusters, 13 clusters were fully occupied.49 clusters need investment in infrastructure, 38 clusters out of these havedone detailed plan and are calling for investment of infrastructure tradingfirms.

Planning and construction of industrial clusters have createda positive driving force for development of industries in districts/town,contributing to reduction of the environment problems, improving infrastructuresystem and simplification of administration procedures. Through this process,more jobs have been created, industrial value increased and transformation ofeconomic structure made.
