On the morning of 01/09/2014, a visiting team of KSTPower Development Company Limited (Thailand) visited the Department ofPlanning and Investment (DPI) and Investment Promotion Centre (IPC) on theoccasion of Lunar New Year 2014. The meeting was attended by Mr. Nguyen ThucDinh, Director of PI and Mr. Nguyen Bay, Director of IPC.
Duringthe meeting, Dr. Pirecyutma Vanapruk, Managing Director of KST Companysummarized the activities of the company in 2013, particularly in consultingfor the oil refinery and petrochemical project in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone of thePetroleum Corporation of Thailand (PTT). Herevealed that for PTT, the project was very important of national scope; therefore,careful preparation was vital. So far, the project’s progress is receivingincreasing interest of international investors. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thuc appreciated theefforts of the company and emphasized that the oil refinery and petrochemicalproject which was expecting to submit the feasibility report to the centralgovernment in April 2014, when successfully going into operation, hadgreat contribution from the company.
Dr.Pirecyutma Vanapruk expressed good wishes to the leaders and staff of DPI andIPC; he believed that in the new year the company would have a lot ofactivities to contact with the two agencies. Mr Nguyen Thuc Dinh believed thatthe feasibility report of the oil refinery and petrochemical project would beapproved in the new year and the project kicked off in the near future so that positivechanges in the socio-economic growth and job creation could be made for thelocality
