On 22nd June, 2013 in the city of Hoi An, theMinistry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with Quang Nam Provincial People'sCommittee held a conference on "Meeting between central coastal provincesand diplomatic missions" in order to support these localities inimplementation of international economic activities. The conference was opportunity for the provinces tomake proposals to supports in promoting their potentials, strengths, establishinga bridge with oversea organizations and businesses. The conference was attended by 60 Ambassadors, Consul Generals,representatives of Foreign Missions in
"The central coastal provinces have vital strategiclocation and are rich in development potentials: This is the transportationaxis linking two major economic centres of the north and south, possessing along coastline with urban system evenly distributed and several deep-water seaports.This region has abundant human resource, advantages and demand of mining andagricultural-forestry-fishery processing, clean energy, petrochemical,mechanical, infrastructure development ... ", said Deputy Minister NguyenPhuong Nga.
In addition, this is the land of unique natural, cultural andhuman characteristics, great potentials in terms of tourism and culture with world-famousbeautiful beaches and cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO.
