Paperand carton packaging industry is a supportive industry which can recycle scrappaper into paper carton to serve the packaging and preservation of commodities. Paper and carton packaging products are environmentally friendly, useful for bothdomestic and export products, and also increase the aesthetic value and surplusvalue that it serves. As an dispensableproduct to link production and consumption. This industry haslong-term and endless development potential.

Sofar, paper and carton packaging products of Binh Dinh are mostly consumed inthe local market, accounting for approximately 85% of the total production andthe rest are distributed to Binh Thuan province (for dragon fruit export), HoChi Minh city and some other provinces nationwide (mainly for pharmaceuticalsector)

Atpresent, we have nearly 18 firms operating in this area. Binh Dinh is the onlyprovince in the central region establishing a Paper and Carton Packaging Association. It was founded since 2007, but until now its activates are limited, the numberof participants are not many and the Association's role is not active enough;therefore, competitiveness and solidarity among businesses for mutual benefitand sustainable development need to be better promoted.
