Thailand’sdelegation had around 60 people including led by the deputy governor of UbonRatchathani province, Department of Trade’s leaders the Northeast provinces ofThailand and 30 entrepreneurs in the field of logistics, agriculture, foodprocessing, tourism services...
Speakingat the conference, The Deputy Chairman Mai Thanh Thang asserted that Binh Dinhhad made efforts to promote relations in various fields with the localities of Thailand,considered Thailand as an important economic partner, and encouraged the studyof Thailand’s legal system, policies, market research, potentials andstrengths, especially those related to the northeast provinces of Thailand. Andthat is important for the global and international integration for both sides. Thailand has been actively shared experiences andsupported Vietnamin the integration process. The governments of Vietnam and Thailand have cooperatedclosely and contributed to solving many problems for the benefits of thedevelopment of both countries in commodities have founded a solid place in Thaimarket, many good items are of Binh Dinh strength such as agricultural, fisheryand seafood products, handicrafts,...
In Binh Dinh, there are 6 companies with Thailand’sinvested capital with total amount of USD 44.5 million, most are operating well.Vietnam CP joint-stock company invests in a Shrimp Breeding Farm in Phu My distrist and anew feed mill in Nhon Hoa Industrial Park; Vietnam GreenFeed joint-stock company runs afeed mill in Nhon Binh Industrial Cluster (Quy Nhon), and after its successfuloperation this company has lately built a new plant in Nhon Hoa Industrial Park. In addition, in 2012Binh Dinh PPC granted an investment certificate for high-tech seedlings nurseryproject in Binh Dinh of Shaiyo group.
Especially, currently Petroleum Corporationof Thailand (PTT) is carried out procedures for construction of a petrochemicalcomplex with total capital up to USD 28 billion in Binh Dinh because thereexists various advantageous factors appreciated by Thai and internationalexperts in this area.
Locatedin the south of Northeast Thailand, 4 provinces of Ubon Ratchathani, Sisaket,Yasothon and Amnat Charoen borders with Laosand Cambodia.Administratively, the area has 63 districts with total population of over 4.1million people, cultivation land area of 1.95 million hectares of (60.9% of thenatural area), with the strength in agricultural products and tourism. Due toits fast growing economy, the area needs bigger markets for increasing amountof production; therefore, these provinces’ government want to boost cooperationwith Binh Dinh’s businesses for the benefits of both sides.
Theconference is an opportunity to introduce the potentials of Binh Dinh itself, andto strengthen cooperative and investment relations with other countries and regions.
