Binh Dinh - Sakai, Japan with great potentials in fishery cooperation

During three days from 13-15/12/2012, the visiting delegation of Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association led by Mr Hitoshi Kato came to Binh Dinh to investigate the opportunity of investment and trade in fishery, especially trade of ocean tuna.

At the meeting on the afternoon of 13th December 2012, the Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Le Huu Loc and leaders of relevant sectors provided an overview of Binh Dinh, potentials and opportunities for cooperation with Japanese firms, especially in fishery sector.

 

After visits to three fishery companies in the province, namely Hoai Nhon Seafood Joint Stock Company, Binh Dinh Seafood Joint Stock and Quy Nhon Seaprodex Factory to investigate the purchase and processing of ocean tuna for export of these establishments; visit to Quy Nhon Plantation Company in Binh Dinh Province and Nhon Hoi Economic Zone and a tour around Quy Nhon city, Mr. Hitoshi Kato asserted that the potentials for business cooperation in fishery between Binh Dinh province and Kasai region in particular and with Japan in general were enormous.

 

Mr. Hitoshi Kato also confirmed that the visit was just a preliminary one, and in March 2013, he will accompany a fishery business delegation from Japan to come back Binh Dinh for further investigation and decisions on specific cooperation.
