On 21/11, in Quy Nhon city, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Dinh held a conference on linking to develop tourism of Quang Nga, Binh Dinh, Gia Lai and Kon Tum. The  conference was attended by leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, leaders of relevant departments, the tourism divisions, tourism promotion information centres and more than 40 hotel and travel agents of four provinces . Picture: The conference scene

At the conference, the representatives acknowledged that the link of four provinces over the last years has not been effective, the level of linking is limited. The promotion activities have achieved just about 10% compared with requirements. The authorities have not carried out specific cooperating and linking activities to businesses. The concerns about identifying typical tourism products of four provinces, developing regional brands were raised and activities such as establishing a shared website, developing a promotion strategy for four provinces were discussed.

The travel agents and hotel operators also proposed that state management agencies should put more investment and complete key projects of four provinces, improve traffic infrastructure to tourist spots, improve and promote the training of human resources. Furthermore, it is important to set up a representative office in Laos, Thailand and Cambodia to attract tourists of these countries.
