On 7th November, at the office of the Provincial People's Committee, the Vice Chairman of the People's committee, Mr Ho Quoc Dung had a meeting with senior officials from Champasak province, Lao PDR, led by the the Deputy of Champasak province. The purpose of the visit was to discuss and exchange experiences on implementation of restructuring, developing and improving the effectiveness of the State Owned Enterprises (SOEs).
On 7th November, at the office of the Provincial People's Committee, the Vice Chairman of the People's committee, Mr Ho Quoc Dung had a meeting with senior officials from Champasak province, Lao PDR, led by the the Deputy of Champasak province. The purpose of the visit was to discuss and exchange experiences on implementation of restructuring, developing and improving the effectiveness of the State Owned Enterprises (SOEs).
At the meeting, Mr Ho Quoc Dung shared the province's experience in leading and directing the reform and equitization of SOE, in developing the enterprises’ business plans after equitization and he also shared the incentives and solutions to improve workers’ income.
As of 01/01/2001, there are 41 SOEs in BInh Dinh with total state capital of VND 525 billion. Over the last 11 years of reconstruction, so far 34 enterprises have been equitised, 4 enterprises transferred to the parent companies, 2 dissolved and gone bankrupt; 11 with 100% state capital transformed to one member limited companies operating in accordance with the Law on Enterprises.
The Vice Chairman emphasized the the importance of innovation and development of enterprises. The Deputy of Champasak province expressed great thanks and appreciated the support of Binh Dinh province and confirmed that Champasak province would continue to maintain close relationship with the
