An approval has been given lately for BinhDinh Vietnam Sturgeon Lt. Company to expand the area for farming and processingsturgeon products in Vinh Son commune, Vinh Thanhdistrict from 5,230m2 to 65,978m2. According to thecompany’s report, VND 33 billion has been invested so far for 120 cages(38m2/cage). The total area used is 4,560m2 of surface water in Reservoir A inVinh Son Hydro Power. Currently,the number of fish here is 44,000 (of which 10% are over 3kg, 60% over 2kg), achievingproduction of 72 tons.
The land leased will beused to invest and expand sturgeon farming, and to build a complex of seeding,harvesting eggs and processing sturgeon egg products.
