Binh Dinh People’s Committee (PC) has lately issued adocument to implement the Circular No.02/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister onstrengthening state management of mineral exploitation activities. Accordingly, the Chairman requested:

 

Binh Dinh People’s Committee (PC) has lately issued adocument to implement the Circular No.02/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister onstrengthening state management of mineral exploitation activities. Accordingly, the Chairman requested:

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment (DoNRE)shall coordinate with relevant departments and sectors to conduct inspection ofthe mining activities in the province, strictly handle cases of pollutionenvironment, work safety impingement. Regarding to eligible mining projects, the enterprises must be requireto carry out deep processing projects as committed (especially titanium ores).  Reconnaissance needs to be done to determine mineralreserve and its quality to submit proposal to the PPC for approval as a basisfor payment for mining rights.

For applications for mining license submittedbefore 01/7/2011, the DoNRE is assigned to review and ensure appropriate planning;the immediate priority is given for the enterprises with processing plants. Regarding to applications for exploiting minerals to makecommon construction materials, the DoNRE shall evaluate the dossiers and submitthem to the provincial PC for license granting as regulated.

The DoNRE is to cooperate with the Department ofConstruction, Department of Industry and Trade and relevant agencies to reviewand make proposals to the PC, who will report to the Prime Minister, the MoNREto request for approvals for granting licenses of construction stone exploitationfor the enterprises owning stone processing plants in Binh Dinh in plannedareas.
