On 5/12/2011, Binh Dinhand Ho Chi Minh Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a ceremony reviewing5 year tourism cooperation between two localities in the stage 2004-2009 andsigned for more cooperation in the stage 2012-2017. Mr Ho Quoc Dung, theProvincial Deputy Chairman attended the event.

Over the last 5 years ofpartnership, the planned outcomes have been achieved. The tourism promotion andcooperation activities are getting more and more developed and diversified. Thenumber of visitors traveling between Binh Dinh and Ho Chi Minh has steadilyincreased. The picture of Binh Dinh and its people have been introduced to HoChi Minh and vice verse.
However, there needs tobe more improvements and growth in term of providing tours on occasions of twolocalities’ events to attract more tourists.
The stage 2012-2017 willfocus on five key areas: exchanging information of tourism development,promoting tourism, training human resource, diversifying tourism products andplanning and calling for investment in tourism.
