The Ministry of Planning and Investment has just submitted the dispatch No. 5794/BKH-KTDN, dated 11 August 2008, to the Prime Minister for approval on the “SOS Children’s Village Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh Province” project worth VND52,507.3 million (USD3,231,218). The International Organization of SOS Children's Villages will provide the project with non-refundable aid of VND41,727.3 million (USD2,567,834) and the correspondent capital of VND10,780 million (USD663,384) will be allocated from the State budget of Binh Dinh Province.

The International Organization of SOS Children's Villages will provide the project with non-refundable aid of VND41,727.3 million (USD2,567,834) and the correspondent capital of VND10,780 million (USD663,384) will be allocated from the State budget of Binh Dinh Province.The project’s goal will build and develop the home for orphaned, abandoned or neglected children in Binh Dinh, formed by four basic principles of the International Organization of SOS Children's Villages: father and mother, brother and sister, family and community to give children a permanent home and a stable environment to become self-reliant and helpful citizens of society; raising awareness of responsibility of social community, government, organizations in giving help to orphaned, abandoned or neglected children, contributing to reduce the situation of wandering children, children at risk of violating the law.The project will be constructed within 2 years (2008-2010), located at Nhon Binh Ward, Quy Nhon City. It is expected the Village would bring up 140 orphaned, abandoned or neglected children yearly. The Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs is the implementing body. |
