The most modern IV medication and fluid factory in Vietnam inaugurated

In the morning of 26/9/2011, the inaugurating ceremony of Fresenius Kabi Bidiphar Factory was solemnly in Quy Nhon city. The event was attended by Ms Cornelia Piepper, German Deputy Minister of Foreign Affair, Mr. Conrat Cappell, German Consul General from Ho Chi Minh city; representatives of the Ministry of Health; leaders of Binh Dinh Province and representatives of local departments and sectors.

Mr Marc Schneider, General Director of Fresenius Kabi Group, Mr Mats Henerikkson, Chairman of Fresenius Kabi Management Board in Pacific-Asia and Lude Depotter, Acting Chairman of Fresenius Kabi Bidiphar Management Board made their special presence at the ceremony.

The factory, located in Area 8, Nhon Phu ward, Quy Nhon city and finished after two years of construction, has an investment capital of approximately Euro 20 million (about VND 340 billion). It is planned to produce 50 million plastic bottles, 20 million glass bottles for intravenous (IV) fluid and 130 million ampoules.

Under the management of Fresenius Kabi Bidiphar Joint Stock Company, it is the first joint venture between Fresenius Kabi and Bidiphar (Binh Dinh Pharmaceutical Company). 380 employees are reported to be working for in the new factory.
