On 27 December, in Quy Nhon City, the Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Dinh Province (DPI) solemnly celebrated the 65th traditional anniversary of Planning and Investment Sector (31/12/1945 – 31/12/2010), the 35th anniversary of DPI Binh Dinh and received the Second-Class Labour Medal. The celebration was also attended by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Deputy Secretary of Standing Provincial Party Committee.
On 27 December, in Quy Nhon City, the Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Dinh Province (DPI) solemnly celebrated the 65th traditional anniversary of Planning and Investment Sector (31/12/1945 – 31/12/2010), the 35th anniversary of DPI Binh Dinh and received the Second-Class Labour Medal. The celebration was also attended by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, Deputy Secretary of Standing Provincial Party Committee. Since its establishment, the Planning and Investment Sector of Binh Dinh province has done a good role of advising for the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee in developing and implementing plans to overcome war consequences and re-construct the economy. In the following years, the sector has been active in developing strategies and plans to organize socio-economic activities, re-allocate production forces and in building the long-term development plans. Thanks to that, Binh Dinh province has had right development orientations in all fields of agriculture-forestry-fishery, industry-construction and trade-service, which has created firm foundation for the following stages. With the functions of managing business registration, being the contact agency to attract investment and provide consultancy and services relating to investment, promoting co-operation between Binh Dinh province and other domestic and foreign provinces and cities, DPI Binh Dinh always puts priority on reforming administrative procedures to better meet the requirements of businesses, investors and partners. DPI Binh Dinh is also leading in reforming administrative procedures for business registration, investment certificate granting, investment project verification, bidding verification and etc. The achievements gained in administrative reform have been in connection with building, promoting a good picture, improving investmentclimate and business environment in the province. Together with taking advantages of traditional factors of geography and infrastructure, Binh Dinh has made great effort in enhancing ‘soft factors’ such as policies, working methods, and working attitudes in order to create a truly friendly and open investment environment for nationwide and overseas enterprises. The Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) of Binh Dinh has always been in the leading group since announced in 2005.
