Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand works in Binh Dinh

On 25 September 2010, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh province Nguyen Van Thien had talks with a Thai delegation of 45 people led by Mr. Pisanu Chanvitan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Viet Nam. Also joining the delegation were Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Laos, Consulates general in Savanakhet province (Laos) and HCMC, Chairman of Ubon Ratchthani province (Thailand) representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and press reporters.

The visit aimed at creating conditions for governmental officials and news agencies of Thailand to learn about the newly developed process for connection between Thailand - Laos - Vietnam and collect information about the process to promote the cooperation between the three countries through the East-. West Economic Corridor (EWEC). The journey began in Ubon Ratchthani province (Thailand), then in Chămpaxắc, Attapư (the southern provinces of Laos) and last in Kon Tum and Binh Dinh (Vietnam).
At the meeting, Chairman Nguyen Van Thien presented an overview on socio-economic situation of Binh Dinh, Nhon Hoi Economic Zone and some projects here.
The Ambassador highly appreciated the cooperation possibility of the provinces in the process of regional development, especially in the fields of tourism, culture and promised to be the bridge to bring Thai businesses in Binh Dinh to explore investment opportunities.
On the same day, the delegation visited Quy Nhon Port, important gateway to the sea of the East-. West Economic Corridor.
