Binh Dinh: Export Turnover of first nine months of 2009 reachs USD228.4 mil

In the first 9 months of 2009, the export activities in the province have been affected by the world economic crisis, so the export market, the price of raw, natural materials are not stable, the value of export turnover continued to decrease against the same period last year. Some businesses, especially wood processing enterprises still have been very difficult in production and consumption of products; stocking material wood and products in bulk.

 

In the first 9 months of 2009, the export activities in the province have been affected by the world economic crisis, so the export market, the price of raw, natural materials are not stable, the value of export turnover continued to decrease against the same period last year. Some businesses, especially wood processing enterprises still have been very difficult in production and consumption of products; stocking material wood and products in bulk.

The export turnover of September, 2009 is estimated to reach USD18.1 million, down by 22.6% compared with the same period last year. The accumulation in export turnover of the first nine months is estimated to reach USD228.4 million, achieving 57.1% of the year plan and decreased by 20.2% against the same period last year.

The economic sectors joining export activities in the first 9 months of 2009 include: State enterprises making up 3.9%, private enterprises making up 92.1%, foreign-owned enterprises up 4% .

Accordingly, the major export groups includes: the group of agricultural products is estimated to reach USD58.2 million, achieving 105.9% of the year plan (down 10.5 % against the same period last year); the group of forestry products is estimated to reach USD114.3 million, achieving 44.8% of the year plan (down 30.1%); the group of sea products is estimated to reach USD22.3 million, achieving 69.7% of the year plan (up 4.4%); the group of minerals and building materials is estimated to reach USD18.7 million, achieving 53.3% (down 18.8%); the group of consumption goods is estimated to reach USD14.8 million, achieving 64.4% (up 30.1%).

Among the major export articles, it is needed to list: rice of various kinds, sliced cassava, frozen seafood, wood of all kinds, sandalwood chip, titan, footwear and garment products.

Also in September of 2009, the import tunover in the province is estimated to reach USD 8 million. The accumulation in import turnover of the first nine months is estimated to gain USD82.6 million, achieving 50.1% of the year plan, down 33.7% against the same period last year.
