Signing MOU with IFC

In the afternoon of 4 August 2009, at the Office of the Binh Dinh People’s Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thien had a meeting with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), led by Mr Ivan Nimac - Manager of the Business Enabling Environment Program, IFC Sydney, Australia. Joining the meeting are representatives of the Departments of Planning and Investment, Natural Resources and Environment, Construction, Home affairs, the Economic Zone Authority and the Office of the provincial People’s Committee.
In the afternoon of 4 August 2009, at the Office of the Binh Dinh People’s Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thien had a meeting with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), led by Mr Ivan Nimac - Manager of the Business Enabling Environment Program, IFC Sydney, Australia. Joining the meeting are representatives of the Departments of Planning and Investment, Natural Resources and Environment, Construction, Home affairs, the Economic Zone Authority and the Office of the provincial People’s Committee.
At the meeting, the delegation of IFC presented the co-operation proposals between IFC and the Binh Dinh People’s Committee on simplyfying and intensifying co-ordination among relevant agencies in solving procedures of investment, land allocation, environment and construction for businesses in the province.
In the last years, IFC has supported Binh Dinh province to implement the solutions for improving investment - business environment; the “One-door coordination” mechanism in carrying out business registration, tax registration and seal engraving permit.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Nguyen Van Thien pledged to take advantage of IFC’s assistance to establish a fully worked-out process in solving investment procedures.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides signed the memorandum of understanding (MOU) to enhance the co-operation between IFC and Binh Dinh province.
