On June 18, 2009 in Quy Nhon City, the Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Dinh Province coordinated with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Da Nang branch (VCCI Da Nang) to hold the Workshop introducing Vietnam-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (VJEPA) and opportunities for enterprises of the central region”. Joining the event are leaders and representatives of departments and agencies in the province and the contiguous provinces; director of VCCI Da Nang; news agencies and the local enterprises.

At the workshop, Mr. Ken Arakawa, senior consultant of the the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Hanoi introduced a general view on VJEPA which open up opportunities and potential for Vietnamese businesses; the Japan’s investment trends into Vietnam in general and the central region in particular, sharing real-life experiences of business human resources management and gave the answers to some questions from the local businesses.

The workshop is the opportunity for government agencies and enterprises to catch contents of VJEPA which encourages export, economic cooperation, commercial exchange and investment between Vietnam and Japan, and take full advantages of the agreement’s preferences.

In the afternoon of the same day, VCCI Da Nang oganized the meeting for the members and the press members of VCCI in Binh Dinh Province.
