Phu My district invites investment in 4 industrial clusters

According to the Management Board of industrial clusters and handicraft villages - four industrial clusters (ICs), namely Binh Duong, Diem Tieu, Dai Thanh and My Thanh with a total area of over 320 ha are calling for investment. The prioritized fields of investment in these ICs are processing  forestry products, granite, titanium, mechanical products; manufacture of coconut fiber, carton boxes, okal plywood, recycled PP plastic, steel rolling; packaging; construction materials, ...

 

Inauguration of the post- starch processing plant

On the morning of 26th October, Vietnam Mingyang BiochemicalCo., Ltd. held the inauguration of Phase 1 and the start of Phase 2 of thepost-starch processing plant in the Industrial Park B, Nhon Hoi Economic Zone.The inauguration was attended by the Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee,Mr Le Huu Loc, representatives of the investor, relevant department andsectors  and more than 20 partners of the company.

 

8 month exports achieve USD 334.6 million

Public debt crisis in EU countries has continued to affect the world's consumption. Domestic raw material price increases due to rising gas and electricity prices.  Banking interest has reduced, but the fact that lending conditions are complicated makes it difficult for businesses to access loans. However, with their best efforts, businesses in Binh Dinh has contributed to maintaining the province's growth rate of export and the export turnover has achieved USD 334.6 million in the first eight months of 2012.

Early 2012, the world economy continued toface many difficulties and many countries have applied austerity measures.Furthermore, technical barriers and protectionism policies have been adapted.As a result, the consumption need has significantly reduced. Soaring domesticprices of raw materials and fuel of many industries and difficult access tobank credit have badly influenced many enterprises in Vietnam. However,with great support from the government and enterprises’ unceasing effort, goodoutcomes have been achieved in some sectors though import export activitiesgenerally decreased.

 

Approving the planning of the ground and shared items of Binh Dinh Power Centre

TheMinistry of Industry and Trade has approved the planning of the ground andshared items of Binh Dinh Power Centre with total capacity of 5,200 MW.Accordingly, the Power Centre in Phu Cat district has 3 factories. The first phase is expected tocomplete a plant with 2 units of capacity 600 MW units, each stage 2 and 3 willhave a plant with two 1000 MW units.

 

Experience on EU market access for enterprises in Binh Dinh

At the hotel Eden in QuyNhon Cityon 17 May, a seminar on "EU Market Access - Experiences and newinformation" held by Vietnam Chamber of Industry and Commerce - DanangBranch (VCCIDN) in collaboration with the Delegation of the European Union in Vietnam. Thepurpose is to help enterprises, especially furniture businesses in Binh Dinh havethe opportunity to learn about and access to EU markets. The seminar was attended by the ViceChairman of the Provincial Standing Committee Mr Ho Quoc Dung; Mr Jean-JacquesBouflet, Counsellor of the EU Delegation; Mr Nguyen Cuong, VCCIDN Director and representativesof nearly 80 enterprises in the province.

 

Binh Dinh PCI ranking in 2011

On 23/02/2012, the launch ofCompetitiveness Index Provincial (PCI) 2011, co-chaired by Mr. Vu Tien Loc,Chairman of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and Mr. David B. Shear, U.S. Ambassador in Vietnam, took place in Hanoi with the participation ofrepresentatives of government and leaders of localities.

 

Export turnover estimated to reach USD 205.5 million in the first 5 months

In the first 5 months of 2011, the export turnover in the province is estimated to reach VND 205.5 million, attaining 44.7% of the year plan and increasing 1.3% compared with the same period of 2010. In April 2011 only, the export turnover achieved USD 45.9 million, up 7.3% compared with April 2010 (USD 42.7 million).

 

Air Mekong flight route from Ho Chi Minh to Quy Nhon

Export turnover of the first 4 months estimated to achieve USD 164.5 million

Due to the adverse effects of the market such as inflation, price hike, fluctuation of USD and gold rice, bank interest rates and oil price, the production and export in Binh Dinh province have been significantly influenced. The export turnover of all sectors has decreased as compared with the same period last year. In the first 4 months of 2011, the export turnover is estimated to achieve USD 164.5 million, realizing 35.8% of the year plan, down 2.6% compared with the same period of 2010.

Export turnover in 2010 estimated to reach USD 429.9 million

The export turnover in December 2010 over the whole province was estimated to reach USD63 million, increasing by 27.3% as compared with the same period of 2009 (USD49.5 million). Only in November 2010, the export turnover reached USD38 million, an increase of 42.1% compared with November 2009 (USD26.7 million). In 2010, Binh Dinh was estimated to reach USD429.9 million, realizing 122.8% of the year plan and increasing by 32.1% as compared with 2009.
