On02/8/2014, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) had a friendly meetingwith Maguchi group (Japan). The meeting was attended by PPC Deputy Madam TranThi Thi Ha, representatives of Department of Investment and Planning,Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Construction Joint StockCompany 47.

On the afternoon of 21/4/2014, at the officeof the People’s Committee, the Chairman Deputy Mai Thanh Thang played host toMr Fabrice Mauriès, French ConsulGeneral on the occasion he came to Binh Dinh to attend the opening ceremory ofthe international conference on astrophysics organized by the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science andEducation (ICISE).

On the morning of 14/4/2014, in Quy Nhon city, Department ofInternal Affairs in collaboration with Institution of Public Administrationorganized a meeting to disseminate information on “Free trade agreements in process of negotiation:Opportunities and challenges”. An important talk was presented by Mr TruongDinh Tuyen, former Head of Ministry of Trade (Ministry of Trade and Industry nowadays),Advisor of the Government in the TPP Negotiation Delegation.

On the morning of 28/3/2014, the projectmanagement board and UNCTAD specialists led by Mr Nguyen Noi - Deputy ofForeign Investment Agency (FIA) had a meeting with the Coordination Board (CB) andthe working team in Binh Dinh.

As reported, from 27^th February to 1^stMarch, the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association in Tokyo made a visit to Binh Dinh toinvestigate for training cooperation and investment opportunities in the area. 

On26/02/2014, at the PPC Office, the Chairman warmly hostedMs Kgomotso Ruth Magau, South Africa Ambassador in Vietnam. This is part of theprogram of South Africa Embassy in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce andIndustry in Da Nang in order to organize a Seminar on Trade-Investment and Tourism promotionto South Africa and Vietnam. Themeeting was attended by leaders of Departments: Foreign Affairs, Planning andInvestment, Industry and Trade and Invesment Promotion Centre.

From 15-18/12/2013, the mission of the Japan-Vietnam Economic Exchange Centre led by Mr. Ueda - Vice President and Mr. Mitani – President of the Management Board of President of the International Business Consultant and General Director of the Japanese International Institution made a visit to Binh Dinh province. During this time, the mission had several discussions with the provincial leaders and relevant agencies on Japanese language training and the labor export to Japan.

From 13-15/11/2013, Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in Kyoto, including Mr Tonan - Vice and Ms. Hasegawa - Chief of management office, were present in Binh Dinh to investigate possible cooperation in the field of nursing, Japanese training and granite stone export.

From 05 to 08.11.2013, Mr Hirosuke Kato - member of Board of Directors Japan -Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai, Japan and Mr. Masakazu Shoga - Fishery expert  come to Binh Dinh to discuss investment cooperation and technical guidance in order to improve the tuna quality for export to Japan. 

After 6 months of preparation, on 25^th October, at the office of Nankai Kinzoku Co., Ltd in Nhon Trach 3 Industrial Park, Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Mr. Le Huu Loc and Mr. Yanagi-Management Committee Chairman of Nankai Kinzoku Company (Japan) and leaders of several departments of Binh Dinh cut the ribbon to open a display room to promote Binh Dinh Province. Photo: Ribbon cutting ceremony to open a Binh Dinh’s display room in Dong Nai province.

From 05/8 to 07/8/2013, thedelegation of Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai made a visit to Binh Dinh to continueto survey and complete records relating to 02 projects of Japanese ODA for BinhDinh province in fisheries sector. Thedelegation had Mr.Hirosuke Kato - member of leadership board of Japan-VietnamFriendship Association and Mr. Masakazu Shoga - seafood experts, whoparticipated in acquisition drafting ODA project document. 

Electronic regulation system (E-regulations) of BusinessFacilitation Project of United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). E-regulations offer the processes and procedures related toinvestment activities and business such as land acquisition procedures, investmentcertificate application, seal engraving, tax code registration… The projectaims at maximizing transparency in investment procedures in Vietnam inorder to encourage the investment activities of both domestic and foreigninvestors nationwide.

Possibilityof Investment and cooperation in seaports in Binh Dinh is being considered –said Mr Hiroyuki Kawata - Standing Member of the Directive Board of MaguchiCorporation, Japan after themeeting with Quy Nhon Portleaders on 08/07/2013. Mr. Hiroyuki Kawata also asserted that the potentialsand advantages of Quy Nhon seaport are an important factor for Maguchi Group toinvestigate for operation given the increasingly severe  competition by neighboring countries in Japan. The President of the Socialist Republic ofVietnam has officially appointed 20 Ambassadors, Consulate Generals in manycountries and territories around the world. Beforeleaving for work, the delegation had a meeting with leaders and representatives of the enterprisesof the localities who are running or preparedto run businesses in those countries and territories. The purpose is  to learn about potentials, strengths andopportunities to expand international cooperation and discuss how to support promotingeconomic, commercial activities, mobilizing and attracting foreign aid andinvestment… 

On 1.4, Mr Le Huu Loc,the Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee hosted the meeting withMr Fabrice Mauriès, the ConsulateGeneral of the Republic of Francein Ho Chi Minh city.Representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Planningand Investment, Department of Health, Department of Finance, Quy Nhon University and Investment PromotionCentre also attended the affair.

During three days from 13-15/12/2012, the visiting delegation of Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association led by Mr Hitoshi Kato came to Binh Dinh to investigate the opportunity of investment and trade in fishery, especially trade of ocean tuna.

In theevening of 03/12/2012, in the city of Quy Nhon,the Provincial People's Committee held the meeting with the tourism survey teamfrom the provinces of Ubon Ratchatbani, Sisaket (Thailand)Champasak, Sekong and Attapeu (Laos)and Kontum (Vietnam).
