From 9^th to 16^th June, 2013, Binh Dinh Province delegation led by Mr Chairman Le Huu Loc cameto Japanunder a partnership programme between the province with CT Group to boostinvestment in transportation infrastructure sector (roads and seaports),supportive industries, real estate, tourism, agro-forestry product processingand aquatic products. Forms of investment expected are not only foreign directinvestment (FDI), but they can be ODA, PPP and other forms. 

As reported, on 10^th and 11^th June 2013,Binh DinhProvince delegation led by Mr ChairmanLe Huu Loc met with large economic groups in Tokyo, Japanto introduce and attract investments in the field of transportationinfrastructure (roads and ports), supportive industries, real estate, tourism,agro-forestry and aquatic products.

On the morning of 12^th May, VietnamGovernment Web Portal (VGP) in collaboration with Vietnam Television Centre in Da Nang city held anonline talk show under the theme:"Investment attraction – Experience from Binh Dinh province" with theparticipation of representatives of the Ministry of Planning and Investment andleaders of Binh Dinh province.

In the framework of the Conference on Investment Promotion for the Central Coastalregion, on the morning 21^st March, at the Crowne Plazahotel (Da Nang),the Coordination Committee of the Central Coast Regional and the People'sCommittee of Da Nang City launched the exhibition economic development achievements and investment projects of the centralcoastal region. 

InJanuary 2013, Binh Dinh Provincelured 11 investment projects registering in the province with a total capitalof over VND 341 billion, achieving 6.8% of the investment plan in. Accordingly, 01 foreign project(FDI) and 10 domestic projectswere issued certificates and also 01 FDI increased its registered capital. Inaddition, the Department of Planning and Investment is making proposals to thePeople’s Commttee to issue several more certificates.

So far,the province has 50 FDI projects with the total registered capital of USD 730millionmillion. Theinvestors come from most countries with great economicpotential in the world such as the United States,Japan, China, Korea,Singapore, Thailand, France ....

Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee hasapproved for Bai Dai Tourism Company Limited (Life Resort Quy Nhon) to investin construction of a complex of villas in Bai Dai area, Ghenh Rang ward, QuyNhon city. The complex is built on an area of 5.7ha and with an expectedcapital of around USD 3.5 to 4.5 million.

As reported, on 05/1/2013, in Ho Chi Minh city, Binh Dinh Entrepreneur Club in Ho Chi Minh city in collaboration with Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) held the Forum ‘Challenges and opportunities for businesses in 2013’ with the participation of more than 100 businesses and entrepreneurs. Mr Tran Du Lich, Deputy of HCM city’s National Assembly Delegation, Mr Tran Anh Tuan, CEO of Nam A Bank, the Deputy Chairman of Binh Dinh PPC 

On the morning of 27/12/2012, Vietnam National Textile Garment Group (Vinatex) inaugurated and put into operation the supermarket Vinatexmart Tay Son. It’s the 80^th supermarket in the Vinatexmart supermarket system and the 3^rd Vinatexmart supermarket in Binh Dinh. The ceremony was attended by Ms Ho Thi Kim Thoa - Deputy of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, 

On the occasionof Vietnam Entrepreneur Day (13^th December), a meeting withentrepreneurs in Binh Dinh presided the Chairman Le Huu Loc of Binh DinhPeople’s Committee was organized with the attendance of about 100 entrepreneurson the afternoon of 12^th October 2012. On 19^thSeptember 2012, after the talks with four economic organizations in Kansai, theJapan-Vietnam Friendship Association in the city of Sakai and the FriendshipAssociation in Kansai area, a conference to promote investment in Binh Dinh wasorganized by the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) in collaboration withVietnam Consulate

On the morning of 15^th September 2012, at Yoyogi Park, Tokyo, Japan, a music programme combined in the exhibition with the theme "Vietnam – an eternal beauty" was officially opened. Binh Dinh Province’s display booth attracted thousands of viewers and visitors. Picture: Viewers visit the booth. 

On the morning of 12^th August, at LongVan intersection of Tran Quang Dieu ward, the People’s Committee of Quy Nhoncity and Phuc Loc Group Joint Stock Company launched the opening ceremony forthe construction of Long Van – Long My route. This is one of the keytransportation projects to upgrade the traffic system and improve the localsocio-economic growth.

Dat Huy Import Export Limited Company tradingagricultural, forestry, fishery and seafood products and relevant machinery hasbeen granted an investment certificate. The company registers an investmentcapital of VND 30 billion and will go into operation in the second quarter thisyear.

On themorning of 10^th May, the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) incollaboration with the  Chamber ofCommerce and Industry of Vietnam in Danang (VCCI Danang) organized a conference"PCI Binh Dinh in 2011 and solutions for improvement in 2012 " inQuy Nhon city to present information on competitiveness index of the provincein 2011 as a basis for improvement solutions in 2012.

The Provincial People’sCommittee (PPC) has approved for organizing a workshop on "Binh Dinh PCIand improvement solutions in 2012" to further analyze, evaluate the PCIresults of 2011 and propose effective measures to improve the PCI in 2012. Theconference also aims to provide more relevant information about PCI for managementofficials and enterprises in the province.

A conference on “Attracting investment into industrial clusters (IC) in Binh Dinh" was heldin Thanh Binh Hotel, Quy Nhon city on April 17th. The event was attendedby Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Deputy Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee (PC) andrepresentatives of departments, sectors and PCs of districts, towns, cities andnearly 20 enterprises and associations in the province.
